West Windsor, N.J. – Whether for learning the basics, brushing up, or enhancing high level skills, Mercer County Community College’s Center for Continuing Studies (CCS) continues to be a leading site in the region for comprehensive training in leading-edge software. An array of noncredit courses will be offered this spring and summer. Many classes are presented as part of certificate programs, but may also be taken on an individual basis. Most are presented in the evening and on weekends on Mercer’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
Ushering in the latest technology, CCS presents “Microsoft Office™ 2010” for two session, May 13 and 20,for those who are inexperienced or transitioning to this newest version of the popular software. Another course for new computer users or those switching from PCs to Macs is Mac Training: Intro to the Mac onJuly 16, 23 and 30.
For those currently working with the 2007 version of Microsoft Office, the center offers intensive, interactive 12-hour classes, running from May through August, in each of the following: MS Word™ 2007, MS Excel™ 2007 I and MS Excel™ 2007 II, MS Access™ I and MS Access™ II, Complete MSPowerPoint™ 2007, and MS Project™ 2007. A Microsoft Word Certification Preparation 2007 course will be presented in nine sessions from June 15-July 18. High-demand classes are offered in both day and evening sessions.
For those interested in designing web pages, Essentials of HTML covers introductory and advanced HTML code in one 18-hour course from May 17-June 7. Other courses include QuickBooks, Web Design Concepts, Foundations of Graphic Design, Server Side Programming with ASP, three levels of Photoshop CS4, two levels of Flash CS4, two levels of Dreamweaver CS4 andtwo levels of Illustrator CS4. Participants can earn certificates in Graphic Designer, Web Designer, and Web Developer/Programmer. The center offers professional certification prep courses in Oracle OCA and OCP, and Cisco Certified Network Associate.
